Maxx is hoping this one burns too so he can sneak some of it before Emil cleans it up like the last one.

I've decided to legalize bubbles in Agnar Sound--for YA and older. Harrison and his future cousin-in-law Reed are quite happy about this decision.

Keith and Michael drop by for a surprise visit with Auntie Cathy and Uncle Connor.

Having six students in one dorm means learning to kill as many birds with one stone as you can. These two were both low on fun and both wanted a logic skill point, so one game of chess solves it all!

Michael, who slept over after Family Day and should really be at school right now, meets newborn puppy Dreidel, while Dreidel's older sister Ally gives their brother Zwei a bath. (Zwei is a namesake and I was gonna name his sister Drei...but 'tis the season and Dreidel is more of a girl name.)

I ought to have heeded my mother's warnings--the puppies of a large dog and a small dog simply come out as clones of the mother. I don't normally change pets' appearances, but here I may have to...or at least get them different collars.

"Oh, right, Harrison started college today." This was the first encounter the cousins had after Harrison moved into the dorm.

Back home, the twins excitedly discuss their last day of high school and the fact that they're growing up and heading off to college too.

With how often this generation discusses dresses, perhaps I should get some my teen boys can wear soon...

Lucas watches a Christmas special on his brand-new TV. His mom comes in and is reminded, "Ah, yes! We still have to decorate."

Later, he weighs in on the conversation between Michael and Brittany Parker, who are wearing the same skirt.

Uh, Sophie? Aren't you a little cold?

Cathy and Connor are very much enjoying being empty-nesters...even if it's only 'til Finnian gets back from college.

This is how Saturday at Doyle's house went. Ingrid rocks out on the guitar while her twin Julia has tons of fun on a date.

Now that it's winter, the kids have to play inside. Somehow tag in the living room was entertaining for several hours. (Side note: why do the kids never run at the same time? It hardly looks like tag in pictures if one is just standing there.)

Some of the guests during this week's Family Day made smart choices about what water activity to undertake in the middle of winter. Others...did not. Lucas, Julia, don't blame me if you two catch cold.

In which Finnian takes three times as long to eat breakfast as he should because he can't stop flirting with his fiance.

Finnian got right into the love tub when he started college. Gabriel got right to studying, rolling wants to go to class, do research, and write a term paper. "Knowledge sims!" his (Popularity) older brother says, rolling his eyes and grinning. "They're so boring sometimes!"

Finnian loves his baby cousin--all the third-gen Agnarsson kids do--but he does wish Michael wouldn't call every day.

Gabriel revives the old Landgrabb House tradition of getting the entire dorm and then some involved in group research.
(I'm trying to get the ladies in the matching swimsuits together. It's difficult since they're both dormies and I don't like making them selectable for very long.)

Wednesday, August 15, 2018

After Finnian leaves for college, Connor spends some time reconnecting with his young nephews (who I'd later find upstairs sound asleep in their grandparents' bed).

Later, Julia passionately goes on to Gabriel about her plans to be a roboticist.

As soon as Finnian got to college, he hopped straight into the love tub left there by his dad. After making him get out to claim a dorm, the phone rang. It was his youngest cousin Michael! And what's more, after he hung up, he rolled wants to call his mom, dad, and little brother, and thus spent the entire night on the phone.

But it wasn't too long before he'd found himself a boyfriend. (Reed Tomyoy, who's been a dormie since Finny's parents, aunts, and uncles were in college.)

It's Family Day, which means the whole 'hood is over at Agnarsson Prime. Keith and Lucas, whose subfamily is the only one without a pet, quickly befriend their uncle and aunt's dog.

Julia and Gabriel get along swimmingly. Maybe because they're both knowledge sims? And sims' sense of a good socializing spot continues to be less than satisfactory, as a good portion of this party happened in the laundry room.

Here we have Sophie Miguel, her husband Emil, Emil's older brother Doyle, and the couple's youngest son Michael, who is curious about what the grown-ups are discussing. They sure stayed in here for a long time. Then again, none of them have a hot tub, so they've got to take advantage while they can!

Finnian reflects on his life, staring out into the unclaimed fields of the neighborhood. He's off to college at 6:00, you know, so he won't be back here until he graduates--or, I suppose, until the next family day.

Saturday is Park Day for every Agnar Sound household with kids. Though, teen Harrison (in the red shirt) didn't mind tagging along with his parents and little sisters. Some of the cousins showed up as well, and Julia happily plays tag with her cousin Michael all morning.

"You don't wear high heels and makeup? Like, ever? You gotta at least try it, it's fun!" says Harrison.
"I dunno. Maybe when I move out. I'm not sure how my parents would take it," replies his older cousin Gabriel.
"Dude, they'd be fine with it. This is the 21st century!"
They absolutely would, by the way. And that's Harrison's parents slow dancing in the background.

Julia, now a teen, tells Lucas, whose household I'm now playing, how excited she is to be going to high school.

While Doyle and Lila spent their park day slow-dancing and otherwise getting romantic, Emil and Sophie immediately rolled wants to play chess. (They did end up slow-dancing later, though.)

I'll be posting more pics of my 'hood's most recent Family Day later, but this was too cute. As the party at Agnarsson Prime is winding down and I'm trying to see where everyone is, I go upstairs and what do I find?

Keith (blue robe) and Michael, nephews to the hosting couple, sound asleep in their grandparents' bed. I found it so precious since Keith and his twin brother Lucas only met their grandparents as babies, and little Michael never got to meet them at all. They ended up staying the whole night and I last left them breakfasting with their aunt, uncle, and cousin.

Finnian had an hour where he was home alone, and he told me exactly what he wanted to do with it! As soon as he was done with his homework he commented on how stinky both the family dogs were, so I decided it was time for a doggy bath!

Gabriel, who's aging up tonight, tells cousin Michael, who was a toddler yesterday, how excited he is to be a teen.

After growing up, the two brothers discuss teenhood and their impending college years. They're in a bit of a tricky spot--if their elder parents die while they're both away at college, their house will be completely empty and the dogs may end up taken away--so I wonder if they're having a discussion about it.

I wasn't ever planning on playing the Ottomai (considering they're not even supposed to be in my game) or adding any new sims to this 'hood myself, but Sharla's insistence on coming home with all my kids put the idea in my head--for a second.
Also, Michael hasn't even had his first day of school at home, and he came home with both his boy-cousins in the earlier part of the rotation.

A little family dancing time before school with Lila Agnarsson and two of her three kids, Harrison and Julia.

Off to school for the kids! It's Julia and her twin sister Ingrid's first day.

Ingrid wanted to learn to study right away when she got home--she's going to be a teacher one day. Julia just wants to dance some more.

But she runs out to hug her mom as soon as she gets home from work.
